Welcome to the website of Highland Camerata, an outstanding classical chorus nestled in the mountains near the New River, in the southwest corner of Virginia. Because of our proximity to the state line, our singers and audiences come from both Virginia and North Carolina. Some of our audiences travel from other states to hear our performances.   

Our By-Laws state: “The purpose of The Highland Camerata shall be to provide a musical outlet for members’ continuing education and entertainment and provide an opportunity for the community to receive musical education and entertainment through the medium of live performance.”   The enthusiastic members of Camerata’s chorus strive to achieve and exceed those goals with each new season, performing a variety of music ranging from the classical masters to Broadway selections, with other offerings added for diversity.

This fall we’ll be celebrating our 30th year of bringing live music to an appreciative audience.
